What will make your weight loss efforts successful this year?
Wonder why some people succeed with weight loss while the vast majority of us continue to struggle?
Reasons people succeed with weight loss:
- Doing it right. Those that are successful with weight loss don’t use fad, calorie deficient diets or skip meals. They eat right and exercise consistently.
- Enjoying exercise. It may be semi-social, where they do it with a friend or in a group, or they may just enjoy the feeling they get after exercise.
- Experimentation. One diet doesn’t fit everyone. You need to find what works. You may not like working out first thing in the morning, but it may be the only time you can with a busy day.
- Support. Whether it comes from family or friends, support is an important element to losing weight. This includes being accountable to people other than yourself, being praised for your success, and sharing ideas that might help you. Having people to talk to and empathize with is a key to losing weight.
- Goals. Fitting in to a dress, getting ready for a vacation, or preparing for a 5K are all goals that will help you stay on track and succeed.
- Competition. Competing in a weight loss competition can be very motivating, particularly if done in groups.
With Fat Blast 2010, we’re using many of the tools above to help you get in shape this year. We will meet regularly to ensure you’re on track. We will share our successes in an effort to find what works best for you. We will organize friendly competitions for weight loss and establish reasonable goals.
