In 1988, Barb and Ron Fay started the locally popular health club the "Muscle Shack". The focus of this club was also strength training, but it was geared toward younger men lifting heavy weight.
This club was in operation through 1992.
Today, Fay's Fitness, Inc. (FFI) is a small fitness facility located in the Southern Tier of New York. FFI specializes in helping women achieve their fitness goals by offering instruction and facilities. FFI also serves men in the community with a separate weight room and cardio room. The business was originally created as Fay's Fitness Company in 1993 and was later incorporated in 2003.
